Description

Details

GR+PLUS® has been specially engineered for:  Wastewater treatment facilities, grease traps, lift stations, septic systems, animal waste pits, and food preparation facilities. GR+Plus contains 5 strains of bacteria, each of which has the ability to remove a variety of waste but each excels at one particular type of waste (petroleum hydrocarbons, animal & vegetable oils and grease, cellulose, proteins, starches & sugars). This is important because most other products on the market exclusively attack food oil and grease but sewage contains other food and paper waste which act like nucleating agents for the grease and other pollutants to attach to.

GR+PLUS® contains a preservative system which keeps the bacteria in hibernation while in the container. They remain in this state until the product is diluted and/or introduced into a food-rich environment. Once GR+Plus is dispersed into the system, surfactants begin to immediately separate oils from the water and begins to break-down the waste into droplet sizes for easy removal by the newly activated bacteria. GR+Plus contains the highest initial bacteria count of any competing product which is initially over 600 billion colony-forming units per/gallon which double in quantity every 20 to 30 minutes. The bacteria will continue to eat and multiply until the food source has run out at which time they settle to the bottom and become harmless sediment.

Once an initial application dosage has been administered and a bacterial colony has been established, smaller maintenance doses are all that is required to maintain a long-term grease / waste removal system.  In situations where facilities are not easily accessible or an automated dosing of GR+PLUS® is required or preferred we offer our GR+PLUS® Dosing System at wholesale cost as a convenience to our customers.  This pumping system is available in two different models . . . the pail-mount and the wall/post mount.  Either model is available in either DC power or battery power and either is durable enough to be used outdoors in the most extreme environments.

Features

  • Non-OSHA Hazardous. Does not require any warning statements.
  • Bacteria stays suspended in the liquid during storage so that it doesn’t settle to the bottom. This is ideal for use with the GR+PLUS® Dosing System.
  • Bacterial strains become active almost immediately after being released. Other products contain bacteria which can take up to 24 hours to become active.
  • Contains multiple strains of bacteria / each excels with the removal of a particular waste:  Petroleum Hydrocarbons, Animal & Vegetable Oils, Cellulose, Proteins, Starches & Sugars.
  • GR+PLUS®, like other similar products, converts vegetable oils, butter, and solid animal fats into fatty acids and glycerin. GR+PLUS®, however contains additional bacteria which removes the fatty acids and glycerin which greatly lowers the odors those bi-products would leave behind.

Directions

Preparation and Use

In most instances the product is used without dilution and is applied by dosing pump or manual pouring.  Higher initial dosages are normally required to remediate buildups and blockages.  Once a viable colony of bacteria is established in the system, lower maintenance dosages can be used.  The size and volume of the area being treated and extent of buildup determines the amount of product needed but here are some general dosage guidelines for problematic systems; most would use smaller amounts of GR+PLUS® for effective cleaning.

DRAINS:

  • Mosts Drains: Use 2 to 4 oz. weekly
  • Problematic Drains: Add 2 to 4 oz. daily to twice weekly

SEPTIC TANK TREATMENT:

  • Maintenance Treatment: 16 to 32 oz. monthly
  • Troubled Systems: 16 to 32 oz. weekly

GREASE TRAPS:

  • Small to medium size grease traps: 8 to 10 oz. daily
  • Large grease traps: 18 to 20 oz. daily
  • High volume grease traps: 36 to 40 oz. daily

WASTEWATER TREATMENT FACILITIES, COLLECTION SYSTEMS, SEWER PIPES & WET WELLS:

  • Meter 30 to 55 gallons per month into systems
